Description

Rock specimen with gray, orange, and pale lavendar prismatic crystals of scapolite with striated faces and pearly luster, embedded in colorless massive quartz. Black biotite mica is also present. A small broken crystal fragment of wernerite is also present. Wernerite is an intermediate member of the scapolite group (nearly equal amounts of Na & Ca).
