1929 Annual Report, "Report of the Regents"

Addressed to 'His Excellency, John G. Richards, Governor of South Carolina' the Board of Regents reported that on May 29th, a contract was awarded to erect a building of 40 bed capacity to be used for white men suffering with tuberculosis; it was completed in November, inspected, and accepted by the Board.
