"On Wednesday morning, June 27, 1962, the first refrigerated truckload of government purchased peaches arrived at the Supply Branch, Columbia Unit, South Carolina State Hospital, from the Ridge section of South Carolina, as action to avert a marketing crisis." The image that goes along with this report documents a truck using one of the loading beds in the back of the Food Service building."
