Title

State Hospital Patients Soon Become Forgotten For Men and Women; Local Facilities Needed

Description

In caring for the mentally ill in SC, Dr. Hall states, "doing everything possible to keep a prospective patient out of the (state mental) hospital." He goes on to explain that community programs for the mentally ill and a supportive family home life are necessary for patients to return back to society and continue treatment, instead of remaining in the state mental hospital. Unfortunitly, many patients have been forgotten by their communities and even their families. "We should always pursue the goal that not one single individual who can properly fulfill a role as a useful citizen in community life should remain in this hospital."
